Minutes of the August 11, 2005 board meeting were reviewed.
Natasha went through the programming schedule for the remainder of the 2005/2006 Fiscal year. The group discussed creating another programming survey for members to vote on the topics they would like to see at the meetings.
Sharlo will create the programming survey and it will be given to the LCHRA members at the May meeting.
Discussion also took place on the LCHRA meeting location/time, and if the members still like having it at one location (ACS), or if rotating locations and having the host company provide a tour would be of interest. We all agreed that this should be something to review and it will be added to the programming survey in May.
Nancy suggested giving a tour of Barrel O’ Fun to any interested members after a regularly scheduled LCHRA meeting. We felt this would be a great idea and will plan a tour for those interested after the January 12th meeting.
The Board went through the SHRM Chapter Achievement Plan (CAP) which is due on 1-31-06. There are a few requirements that we are going to work on achieving: |
|
Establishing a Code of Ethics (Natasha)
Attending a Webcast (Caroline)
Establishing a Succession Plan (Sharlo)
Performing a Financial Audit and preparing Financial Statements (Teresa)
Updating the By-Laws (Board) |
Natasha asked everyone to bring a copy of the By-laws to the December meeting so they can be reviewed.
Natasha asked who would be attending the State Conference and if they could present this information at the next LCHRA meeting. Sharlo agreed to do this, along with making the basket for the conference. The basket is “Pizza” themed and Sunflower Hill donated a Pizza Board and gave us a 15% discount on the other items.
The next meeting will be on December 8th, 2005 8:30-9:30 a.m., Sunflower Hill Coffee Shop in the Detroit Lakes Washington Square Mall. |
