Lakes County Human Resource Association Board Meeting Minutes August 10, 2006

Present:
Sharlo Meyer – President
Natasha Nodsle – Past President
Cheryl Buck – Member at Large

Absent:
Theresa Halverson – Secretary/Treasurer
Kellie Carlson – President Elect
Nancy Belka – Member at Large

The September meeting will be a Termination/Severance Agreements presented by Alec Beck. He will provide Sharlo Meyer will a summary of the presentation and background so the presentation can be submitted for continuing education credit.

Programming for the upcoming year was reviewed. Topics discussed were:

• Drugs/Alcohol in the Workplace – Chris Kotchevar with Lakeland Mental Health has speakers available, we need to confirm date.
• Community Reintegration (military personnel re-entering the community and workforce), Sharlo Meyer sent e-mail to Steve Retzer to find out status.

The group discussed the of a five year anniversary luncheon for the November 9th meeting to be held at Perham Country Club. The program theme will be Past, Present, and Future of LCHRA.

Past – recognizing founding members, past presidents, and certified members

Present – presentation of the LCHRA Compensation & Benefits Survey

Future – survey of future programming and future of LCHRA association

Formal invitiations to be sent week of September 25th. Natasha Nodsle and Sharlo Meyer are working on quotes with printers.

The next board meeting is scheduled for October 12, 2006 from 8:30-9:30 a.m., Sunflower Hill Coffee Shop in the Detroit Lakes Washington Square Mall.
