Lakes County Human Resource Association Board Meeting Minutes February 8, 2007

Minutes of the December 14, 2006 board meeting were reviewed and approved.

Sharlo updated the group on the recently submitted CAPS report to SHRM. SHRM recommended making changes to the bylaws of the association. The board reviewed the recommendations and approved the new bylaws. The updated bylaws will be available on the LCHRA website.

Programming for the upcoming months was reviewed. The March meeting topic is “Business as Usual: Grief in the Workplace” presented by Hospice of the Red River Valley in Detroit Lakes. The May topic is “Workplace Disputes” presented by Page Law Firm. The July topic is “Building a Recognition Culture” presented by Terry Berry. A proposed topic for the September meeting will focus on Wellness.

Kellie Carlson, President Elect has resigned her position on the board due to personal commitments. The group reviewed options for filling the vacancy with another member.

The group reviewed board position openings for the 2007-2008 year. President Elect and Board Member at Large will be open. Sharlo will send out a communication to all members regarding the openings.

The next board meeting is scheduled for April 12, 2007 from 8:30-9:30 a.m., Sunflower Hill Coffee Shop in the Detroit Lakes Washington Square Mall.
