Board Meeting Minutes June 15, 2007

Minutes of the April 13, 2007 board meeting were reviewed and approved.
Teresa Johnson, President Elect and Missy Wokash, Member at Large were welcomed as newly elected board members.
Farewell and thank you to board members going off board Natasha Nodsle, Past President and Nancy Belka, Member at Large.
Discussed SHRM Chapter Roster Audit:
- Tom Masloski and Cindy Schrupp have been coded to LCHRA Chapter
- Wendy Clemens and Vicki Lahlum have been recoded to another Chapter.
- 4 member’s SHRM membership has expired.
- Missy Wokash is coded to Fargo-Moorhead Chapter. She completed SHRM Primary Chapter Designation Form to recode her to LCHRA chapter. Sharlo Meyer assigned to fax to SHRM.
Jackie Buboltz reported on the State Leadership Conference she had attended in May:
- Our Chapter could have a booth at MN State SHRM Conference to promote chapter.
- This year tickets will be available for local chapter members to purchase their local basket that will be donated to the State SHRM Conference.
- We will be doing a “lakes” theme basket this year. Jackie Buboltz volunteered to head up putting the basket together.
- $750.00 Chapter Scholarships are available for PHR/SPHR certification
Annual SHRM Foundation drive, LCHRA will make a $50.00 donation. Sharlo to request check from Theresa Halverson and send to SHRM Foundation.
Review Financial Statement. Monies are available for speakers and annual membership dues will be due this summer.
Programming for the upcoming months was reviewed. The July topic is “Building a Recognition Culture” presented by Terry Berry. Terry Berry requested to do a press release in local paper. It was decided to contact Terry Berry and have them go forward with press release. Sharlo Meyer will contact.
Programming for September will be Wellness in the Workplace. Amy Lundberg, Owner of Aim for Fitness, along with Natasha Nodsle from SJE Rhombus will facilitate presentation. Natasha will be attending a National Wellness Conference and will become certified as a National Wellness Coordinator. She will present on what she learned at the Conference.
Sharlo Meyer assigned to go through CAPS and review what has been completed thus far this calendar year.
The next board meeting is scheduled for August 9, 2007 from 8:30-9:30 a.m., Sunflower Hill Coffee Shop in the Detroit Lakes Washington Square Mall.
