Teresa Johnson – President Elect
Theresa Halverson – Secretary/Treasurer
Cheryl Buck – Member at Large

Absent:
Sharlo Meyer – Past President
Missy Wokash – Member at Large

Minutes of the February 15th meeting were reviewed and approved.

The group reviewed and approved the financial statement through February 14th.

Jackie Buboltz reviewed SHRM memberships with the group. Records indicate that LCHRA had 18 registered SHRM members in 2007, which is one less than in 2006. SHRM has established a goal to increase the membership in 2008 to 20.

Teresa Johnson reported on the teleconference she was part of for the state council meeting. The SHRM state conference for 2008 will start on Monday rather than Sunday. The SHRM leadership conference will be held in May in Alexandria, Teresa Johnson will be attending. SHRM will pick up the cost of the conference for chapter Presidents and President Elects.

Jackie Buboltz discussed with the group the CAPS planning guidelines for covering SHRM topics at upcoming chapter meetings. The chapter receives one additional point on CAPS if a link is available on the LCHRA website to SHRM. The group assigned reporting responsibilities at the chapter meetings on the topics of legislative updates and diversity/focus to the Board Members at Large. The group discussed options for giving to the community for points on CAPS such as; Dress for Success (donating suits), WICS program (donating coats, mittens, etc.) Teresa J. will research further information.

Board members will be assisting with registration on March 19th in Perham for the HR Law update that the chapter is co-sponsoring. The chapter will receive a portion of the proceeds which will be used for future speakers.

Programming for upcoming months was reviewed. A SHRM speaker will be invited for May, and disaster planning along with pandemic flu is a possibility for July.

The next board meeting is scheduled for Thursday, April 10th at 8:30 – 9:30 am Sunflower Hill Coffee Shop in the Detroit Lakes Washington Square Mall.
