Minutes of the board meeting were reviewed and approved.
Upcoming Programming was discussed.
August – no meeting
September – Leadership/Credibility Training by Greg Holder (Teresa Johnson will apply for credits)
October – Employee Free Choice Act by Alec Beck or Mike Ringal (sp) – Teresa Johnson will check and see if he can present
November – Hiring Assessment by Jill Berg
December – Round Table on unions - Theresa Halverson to discuss on her union experience
January – Employee Retention with a speaker from The Village
February – Aging Workforce and Retirement presented by
March – open
April – Conference
Donette Peterson from Cetero Research – good speaker for the future.
Financials were approved as distributed.
Following the board meeting, committee members for the Education Conference met. It was decided that the conference would be held April 22, 2010. Location, speakers and vendors were discussed and will be discussed further at the next meeting. Committee members for the educational conference will meet after the general meeting on 9/10/09.
SHRM has requested that our chapter donated a basket again for the conference. It was decided to spend about $100 and Kellie Weller agreed to put it together.
