Board Meeting Minutes

Minutes of the board meeting were reviewed and approved.

Upcoming Programming was discussed.

January – ? Kellie regarding her experience in China

February – Hiring Assessment presented by Jill Berg

March – Employee Retention with a speaker from The Village

April – Conference

Other ideas: Roger from DEED regarding how to discharge and the shared work program,

Dave Ramsey – financial education in the workplace

Site Visits – Lakeshirts

Member Focus

Financials were approved as distributed.

Discussion was held on who is available to update the LCHRA website. Theresa will follow up with Lori Meader.

Next year we will make a donation to the SHRM Foundation instead of making a basket for the MN SHRM conference. The basket didn’t raise sufficient funds this year.

The April Conference committee will meet following the group meeting. The conference is scheduled for Thursday, April 22, 2010 at the Holiday Inn in Detroit Lakes, MN.

The next board meeting is scheduled for Thursday, January 14^th after the Chapter meeting and Conference Planning meeting.
